Greetings Willink Families!
I hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend and takes a moment to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the men and women in our armed forces.
A few things to be aware of and look forward to in the upcoming weeks:
Books! Thanks to our Webster Teachers Association (WTA), every Willink student will have the opportunity to select a brand new book to take home and keep (and hopefully enjoy reading over the summer!). More details to come but I wanted to highlight this and thank our teachers for creating this opportunity.
8th Graders - LOTE Proficiency Exam is Friday, June 21st. More information to come in the following weeks but this date can sometimes surprise families as it falls after the last official day for middle school.
Awards Nights Clarification - Students who have been nominated for an award have been contacted earlier this spring. While you may see these events listed on our PTSA calendar, attendance is only needed for students (and families) who have been previously notified that they are receiving an award.
And finally, I’d like to thank Mrs. Concordia and Mrs. Brown’s students and teaching assistants for getting the Willink garden planted for the spring. Students will be helping to grow tomatoes and sunflowers throughout the spring and summer. In addition, these teachers and students take the time to clean out mulch and flower beds on the school property. Thank you for your work with this!
Happy Memorial Day!
