Enroll Your Park Hill Kindergartner and Mark Your Calendar for Kindergarten Roundup
Families with children entering Park Hill School District kindergarten in August 2015 may enroll now by visiting their local elementary schools between 7:45 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Children who turn five on or before July 31 are eligible for kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year. Parents will need to bring their children’s certified, state-issued birth certificate, immunization records and two proofs of residency to enroll. One proof of residency must be a lease or mortgage agreement. The other should be an original and current gas, electric or water bill that shows the name and address.
If you do not know which school your child will attend, please check the district website at www.parkhill.k12.mo.us or go to the Park Hill district office, 7703 NW Barry Road, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to get the enrollment packet and locate your school. Feel free to call us at (816) 359-4000.
After you enroll, mark your calendar for the Kindergarten Roundup event at your elementary school on Monday, May 4 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. Parents and students will get a sneak peak of the school, tour the building, ask questions and get to know the staff.
Health Screenings
Schedule Screenings ASAP
This is a reminder that if you participate in one of the Park Hill School District health plans, you need to schedule your health screening as soon as possible at www.MyBlueKC.com. If you participate in the district insurance plan you must complete the Health Screening, Health Risk Assessment, and the Health Advising Call in order to receive the full benefit contribution towards the cost of your selected plan. More detailed information can be found in the yellow booklet sent out to you just before the holiday break. If you are having trouble logging in or scheduling, please call Blue Cross Blue Shield at 816-395-2121.
- There will be a check in, height/weight, finger stick, blood pressure, HRA and results review station. click here to see a short 2 minute video on how the screening is set up.
The appointment registration link stays open until midnight the final business day prior to each event or until that event is full. The screening staff will take walk-ins if necessary. However, they can only work them in as they are able to without causing back-ups at the stations. If they are unable to work them in at the time they stop by, they will be asked to put their name down on an appointment time and come back. The earlier in the event they come by to do this, the better. The more walk-ins, the more stress for everyone. This can cause wait times for your staff. The more participants who make an appointment ahead of time and stick to it, the more smoothly things will run.
If you have any questions, please contact myself, Megan Thilges, at 359-6487 or JoAnn Blakely at 359-4021.
