Arrival & Dismissal Patterns
From 7:00-7:30 and 2:30-3:00, traffic in and out of Lenape is ONE WAY. All traffic must enter from W. STATE STREET (202) and exit on to WEST STREET (back of building).
Bus Riders: Any student who rides a bus will enter the building through the doors next to the choir room.
Car Riders: Any student who arrives PRIOR TO 7:30AM by car will enter through the cafeteria doors. All other doors in to the building will be locked, including the main office.
- Car riders, please do not exit your car until you are along the backside of the building.
- Please use the “roller coaster” approach to dropping off, which is that all cars pull up to the YIELD SIGN, and then every car in the designated area opens its doors and all kids disembark and walk in to the appropriate set of doors. The goal is to have 12-15 cars empty at a time rather than 3-4. Once all students have exited, the next wave of cars fill in and the process continues until all students have been dropped off.
- Cars must then exit on to West Street. PLEASE NO U-TURNS through the parking areas. Please be aware of ONE WAY SIGNS.
- Please do not drive through bus lanes that run parallel to West State Street (RT. 202).
Any student who arrives after 7:30AM should enter through the main office door buzz-in system.
We appreciate your help and cooperation to make this procedure work in a safe and efficient manner.
Please note: For safety reasons, please do not drop your child off in the doctor’s office lots or the church lots. This will create a situation where students will need to walk through staff parking lots or bus lanes in order to enter through the proper doors. Our goal is to keep all students safe and make the drop off time run more smoothly.
Lunch Info
Breakfast: Hot and cold breakfast options will be available from 7:05 to 7:30 each morning in the cafeteria and outside the auditorium. Students must take a fruit or juice with their meal.
Lunch: Every lunch must have at least 1 fruit or vegetable. There must be 3 (but no more than 5) components to make a meal. There are two service lines in the cafeteria, each with different options. Signs will be posted.
Snacks: Snacks and water bottles are available for purchase during lunch using the pin/code card that will be distributed on the first day of school. No cash will be accepted; all payments must be made from a student's lunch account. No IOUs will be given out - students may only purchase a snack if they have sufficient funds in their account. You can add money to your child's account via MySchoolBucks or by giving a check to the cafeteria staff (it will take several days for the money to enter their account.)
Bell Schedule
Teambuilding Field Trips
On Thursday, Sept. 2nd, all students will be attending a field trip off site with their academic team. The field trips will not require a fee; however, all parents must use MyPaymentsPlus to register their student to attend and to “sign” a permission slip. Please complete this registration ASAP!
Teams are going to the following locations:
TEAM QUEST (7th): Camp America 341 Lower State Road Chalfont, PA 18914
TEAM EXPLORER (7th): Elbow Lane 828 Elbow Lane Warrington, PA 18976
TEAM WONDER (8th): Diamond Ridge 1965 Deer Run Drive Jamison, PA 18929
TEAM DREAM (8th): Doylestown YMCA
9TH GRADE: Briarwood 1380 Creek Road Furlong, PA 18925
In addition to the permission slip, Elbow Lane and the YMCA require parents to sign a waiver. You should have received an email with more information if your student is going to one of these locations.
Students will need to bring a bag lunch labeled with their name. School lunches will be available for students who request them the day before the trip. We will discuss this with students during lunches on Wednesday.

Updated Attendance Procedures
The Central Bucks School District will be changing the way in which absences are reported, beginning with the start of this upcoming school year on August 30, 2021. The following items are some key points to be aware of:
- Parents and guardians will be able to submit absence requests via the Parent Portal. Parents can request a full day absence, early dismissal, or late arrival.
- Absence requests will be reviewed by School Attendance Staff and approved or denied.
- Requests made using the Parent Portal will also serve as the excuse for the absence. Parents will not be required to submit an excuse either electronic or written.
- Parents and guardians can also still call the school to report an absence, but emails will no longer be accepted. The lenapeattendance@cbsd.org email address will be discontinued.
In addition, when a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, the following communication will be sent:
- A text message will be sent midmorning notifying the parent or guardian of the absence
- An email will also be sent at the end of the school day reminding the parent or guardian that the student was marked absent.
Information regarding how to use the Parent Portal to report an absence can be found here.
CHIP and Free & Reduced Lunch Applications

Although school meals will continue to be free for the 21-22 school year, we encourage eligible families to fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch application. Middle School Volleyball Update
CBSD is pleased to announce that we will be continuing the coed middle school volleyball club program this fall. The purpose of this program is to teach the fundamentals of volleyball to our middle school athletes in the hopes that they will be interested in trying out for our high school program.
If there is enough interest, our goal would be to make this a “sport” at the middle school level in a few years’ time with having a girl’s program in the fall and boy’s program in the spring.
This year’s program will be open to 7th and 8th grade students at each middle school. Tryouts will start in the beginning of September. Practices will be Monday-Thursday from 3pm-4:30pm. The season will be approximately a six-week program with an 8-game schedule verse the other Central Bucks middle schools. Transportation will be provided for away matches. Registration this year will be through Family ID. Due to the popularity of this program, “cuts” may need to occur to manage team roster numbers and provide a competitive experience.
Cost will be $125.00 paid to the Community School once being placed on the team. If you are interested in trying out for the club program visit Family ID by going to Lenape's athletics webpage. Please complete all the requirements on the Family ID website, including uploading Sections 6 and 7 of the PIAA physical which must be completed and signed/stamped by a doctor. The full PIAA Physical can also be found here. Contact Lenape's athletic director, Jason Kriney, if you have any questions. Schedules will be available soon.

Safe2Say
Safe2Say is a valuable resource that has been set up by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide a method for anyone to report a concern about a student or group of students 24/7. Please note some important reminders about the use of Safe2Say:
- If you put in a tip, please check back often for communications. The tip line is monitored 24/7 at the state level. The tip is sent to the school and/or police if it is deemed "Life Safety" immediately. It is sent in the morning if it is determined to be "Non-Life Safety."
- It is important to include as much information as possible. If you have evidence of your concerns, please share that evidence via the tip or with us. You can attach pictures and videos in the Safe2Say system.
Please remember that Safe2Say is statewide system that is used in collaboration with the State Attorney's Office, emergency responders, and school officials. It is important to know that tips are reviewed on the state level before being passed to the local police and/or school authorities. Please consider the purpose of your tip - Is it to provide another person with a way to receive help? Is it preventing an act of violence? Is it something that needs to involve local and state authorities? While the system is anonymous, abuse of the system will not be tolerated and actions will be taken if it is determined that the system is being used inappropriately.
