Kindergarten News
October 9-13
Today I sent home an "Alphabet Sounds" sheet. This is great practice with letter sounds and tracking. Students should sing along and be tracking with their finger as well. Here is the link.

Early in the week we went on a fall scavenger hunt. Students enjoyed finding different color leaves, acorns and pine cones. The trees behind the school had beautiful fall colors! We also made fall windsocks that are displayed in our classroom.
We ended the week with a trip to De Smet Fire and Rescue for fire safety week. Students enjoyed trying on fireman gear and looking in a fire engine. Can 24 kindergarten students fit in a firetruck? See picture below to find out!
Big "thank you" to the fireman Shawn Wolkow, Rob Cleveland, and Curt Eichacker for showing us around!
We will be having our pizza party in the afternoon on Tuesday, October 17th. This is a reward for guessing the pumpkins weight! Thank you to Scott and Tim Steffensen for sponsoring this activity!
