Afterword
The Woodstock Music Festival turned out to be a great success. The traffic jams created by visitors were so great that day that the New York Governor almost sent New York National Guard Troops. The festival was attended by 400,000 people at one point.
Many famous artists played at the festival. Joan Baez performed six months into pregnancy. However, although the project was started with him performing in mind, Bob Dylan did not participate.
Because of rain, Jimi Hendrix, the last performer, didn't perform until 8:30 in the morning on August 18. This is when he and his band, Gypsy, Sun and Rainbows, performed his famous version of "The Star-Spangled Banner."
There were two deaths during the event, but there were also two births and four miscarriages.
