The Water Cycle
The water cycle is a cycle that repeats over and over again. First you start with evaporation. Evaporation is the sun heating water, changing it from a liquid to a gas turning it into water vapor. Next is transpiration and transpiration is when plants and trees release water into the atmosphere. Clouds are formed witch is called condensation and its when water vapor cools down , it comes together, changes back into a liquid and clouds are formed. Then it rains! Another way of saying rain is precipitation . The clouds get so full of water they let it go making it rain. Depending on what the temperature is will make the rain into snow, sleet, and hail. Then if the water rains on a mountain, then the water will run off the land, into rivers and streams. That is called run off. It might also go into the ground and turn into ground water! Ground water can stay under the ground for a couple of days to thousands of years. Wow! So this is the water cycle!
