Are you interested in Sponsoring a Coding Club at your school?
Why Become a Sponsor?
- Aldine's Campus Coding Clubs are focused on creating an environment that supports STEM on campuses.
- The CCC goal is to create opportunities to showcase student products and creations.
- All Sponsors will receive unique opportunities for professional developments, industry support, and field trip options.
- We now a small district inventory of physical computing equipment available for check out to support your clubs.
- We will also be able to provide compensation for your time (with a few requirements) as the sponsor. (A max of 2 sponsors will be compensated per campus.)

Coding (primarily with options for Physical computing)

- Girls Who Code

- CodeClub (Raspberry Pi)
- Facebook's Engineer for the Week (EFTW)
Physical Computing (PC) focused clubs (AKA Robotics)
- Lego (WeDo and/or Mindstorms)
- Wonder Workshop (Dash & Dot)
- Makey Makey with Scratch
- Raspberry Pi
- Spheros
- Ozobots
- Bloxels
What are some of the projects students can create, produce, or make?
CS First with Google
- Build and Tell Interactive stories.
- Play musical notes, and create a music video.
- Create photograph filters for social media!
- Make their own commercials
- Build their own video games.
Girls WHO Code (GWC)
- Helps girls build identities as computer scientists by highlighting female role models.
- They build a Computer Science Impact Project through a design-build-test cycle.
Makey Makey
- Create your own interactive Word Wall.
- Build interactive stories.
- Students can build a flight simulator.
What are the REQUIREMENTS to be a sponsor?
As a sponsor you must meet these few requirements:
- Submit your club activity report every two weeks.
- Submit your club weekly sign in sheets.
- Students must participant in District Hour of Code and STEMFest events.
