SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Sanae Graham
Metropolitan Learning Center is the type of community that will help build students into the leaders they are meant to be. Throughout my time at MLC, I have seen the wonderful work of students: heritage month celebrations, art exhibits, rallies, and walkouts. The initiative students hold to plan this event to help group staff and faculty as well as their peers. Moreover, MLC has helped me grow as a person. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would be a part of state-level committees if it wasn’t for teachers encouraging me to signup and volunteer. But with the help of the MLC student body, I was able to live my high school years to the fullest. Now that I’m on my final stretch of secondary schooling is coming to an end, I’ve been thinking about the next steps. I plan to use the skills and knowledge I’ve obtained throughout high school to pursue education within medicine. I plan to become an orthopedic surgeon and possibly work with children and adolescents. It feels like yesterday was the day I first walked through the student entrance in 6th grade and now I’ll be walking through the student entrance for the last time in less than a month. The past seven years have been quite a journey and I’m very grateful that it was spent with the MLC faculty and my classmates. Cheers to the Class of 2021!
Senior Notes
It is TRADITION!
Every year we ask for parents to write Senior Notes. These are wishes, hopes, memories that you write and they read at SafeGrad or when they get home. You can have your family members write these as well. These notes could be for your Senior but they also could be for a Senior that you know and would like to send a message to.
If you would like to send a message please follow these instructions:
- Send the message to 2021mlcdragons@gmail.com
- Subject line should have Senior Message for Students Name
- The message and who the message is from
- Lastly these messages are $5 a piece and you can send the money to the school office or use the cash app and venmo links below. As with everything label it with “Senior Message and your students name as well as yours.” Venmo to: @Susan-Braun-55
Cash App: $leslieMonique
Please email your message no later than May 28th
