English Department Updates - National Poetry Month

Hello BHS Families,

With April comes spring break, National Poetry Month, and midterms. When we return from spring break, we will start a new rotation, so be sure to check in with teachers about missing work before we switch over to the A-rotation on April 12th. Spring break is a great opportunity for students to catch up on those assignments.

Gerard Manly Hopkins said: “Nothing is so beautiful as Spring”. To find more poems celebrating spring and National Poetry Month, you can check out or for a wide variety of poetic forms and topics.

If you haven’t yet found something to read over spring break, it’s not too late. You can use the Libby App through the Bellingham Public Library to instantly borrow digital books to dig into over the break.

Have a great spring break,

Laura Baker

Departamento de Ingles - Mes Nacional de la Poesía

Hola Familias BHS,

Laura Baker
