EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATIVE TEACHERS
1. Organized students to attend and support the Santa Sam's Toy Drive on 11/17/2017 at the Thompson Center.2. Led 2 Building the Gifted Committee (BGC) Meetings on 11/21/2017 & 11/17/2017
a. Organized a Gifted Family Night for 12/14/2017 @ 5:00 to 7:00 p.m to improve school culture and climate
b. On-Track Data analysis revealed that student attendance improvements were needed in specific gifted classes.
3. Led Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) Meeting on 11/18/2017 & 11/2/2017
a. Professional Reading on Small Group Instruction.
b. Implementation of Benchmark Assessments of conceptual areas identified within Grade Level Unit Plans
c. Dress Out of Uniform Days to Improve Student Attendance around Thanksgiving Holiday (96% or higher).
d. Customize an authentic Beasley Kindergarten Report Card with grading scales (A, B, and etc) to convey high expectations to improve student attendance rates.
4. Approved the 1st Grade Teacher Team to fund raise money for printer cartridges. A special thanks goes to Ms. Robins (1st).
5. Arranged for students to take Holiday Portraits on Wednesday December 21, 2016 with Potter Photography.
6. Winter Assembly will be held on Friday, December 23, 2017.
AMBITIOUS INSTRUCTION
1. Interim Assessments are to be given to student before December 5, no more than 1 to 5 questions based upon the conceptual area(s) that were reflected in your Quarter 1 Unit Plans.
2. Unit Plans for Quarter 2 are due to me on December 2.
3. Evidence of Small Group Instructional Schedules are to be posted largely in your classroom. Small group instruction should occur every day in the literacy and math block.
4. Classroom Libraries are to lexiled in your classroom. There has to be evidence that students are utilizing the libraries as well "Check-in Check-out System."
5. Approved the BGC to coordinate the Reading Buddies Program to provide peer-to-peer support in early literacy development. A special thanks goes to Ms. Harris (1st), Ms. McGowan (2nd), Ms. K. Williams (3rd) and Ms. Harper (4th).
SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
1. Arranged for Power 92.3 Radio Station to provide an "It's Okay to be You" Anti-Bullying Forum for 6th Grade Students on 11/2/2017 and 7th & 8th Grade students on 11/14/2017. Rapper Cornbread gave a special performance.
2. Arranged for 5th, 6th and 7th to attend an international film on social justice with school community partner Children's International Film Festival.
5. Fire Drill and Shelter and Place Drills were completed. (Ms. Haynes).
6. Students went to Princeton Eye & Vision for eyeglasses. (Ms. Haynes).
7. Ms. Wilson-Tunbow has taken the lead to implement our new Parent Volunteer Volunteer Program to recruit more volunteers in the school for lunch/recess, arrival/dismissal, classroom and Main Office support.

2nd Runner Up in the Crane H.S. Tournament
2nd Runner Up in the Collins H.S. Tournament
1st Place in the Hillcrest H.S. Tournament
Our boys are fighting hard to win and the competition is steep. Beasley will be playing at Simeon H.S. this Friday at 5:00 p.m., University of Chicago Laboratory School this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and Walter Payton H.S. on December 17 and 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The playing times are being scheduled.
