Today's Photo and Video of the Day (3 photos)
Today, take a video of your child reading a book or reading on Reading A-Z and post the video to SeeSaw. Recording only a few pages of the book is fine if it is a long book. Shorter videos are easier to upload. Also, take a photo of your child’s writing assignment, and your child’s math assignment. No other photos are needed. Post the 1 video and 2 photos in SeeSaw by the end of the day.

Respond to Reading (15 minutes)
Discuss these questions with a parent in your home:
-The Sloth doesn’t answer when the animals talk to him. Why not?
-Where did the Sloth sleep, and how did he sleep?
-How are people sometimes slow like a sloth?
Draw a picture of a person you know who does something very slowly or carefully, just like a sloth.

Writing (20 minutes)
Think about STEM Lab with Mrs. Rios, she brought different animals for you to look at and discuss. The animals she had were a snake, a hissing cockroach, a tarantula, a green tree frog, and a lizard.
Write and draw which animal you liked and why. Remember to use your best handwriting. Share your writing with your family. Take a picture of your writing and upload it to SeeSaw.
Independent Reading (20 minutes)
Log in to Raz Kids and complete one assignment.
If you have extra time in your 20 minutes, log in to Myon, and read books there. Take a video of your child reading and upload it to SeeSaw.

Activity- Find and label items in your house with the digraph ch. Write the following words on a sheet of paper and cut them out, then place them in a pile (for labeling): Have your child pick out one word, read the word out loud and race to find the items in your house. Then have your child place the word with the item to label it. Continue to play the game until all words are gone and all items are labeled. Once your child is done go around the house and collect each card and have your child re-read the word.
