CHROMEBOOK COLLECTION

All district owned chromebooks, chargers and wifi hotspots will be collected the week of June 14-17, the last week of school. Details to follow.

5TH GRADE RECOGNITION

We will be having a 5th Grade Recognition for students at the end of the day on June 16th and 17th. Due to covid rules we are not allowed to have parents and guests on campus. But, it will be filmed and shared with families.

TENTATIVE PLANS FOR FALL 2021

In the fall, SKPS plans to have full-day, in-person classes, five days a week for all students. The district will follow all guidelines from the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority, which may include protocols such as wearing a face covering, frequent handwashing and some form of physical distancing.

The district will share additional information as plans are finalized throughout the spring and summer.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Enrolling your child in school early allows our district to anticipate needs and staff appropriately.

Children who will be 5-years-old on or before September 10, 2021 are eligible to register for free, full-day kindergarten with SKPS. Learn more about how to complete online registration on our district website.

To complete registration, you will need an updated record of your child’s immunizations, proof of residence and your proof of age with you to register.

We welcome all students, regardless of nationality or place of birth. To learn more about kindergarten registration, how to prepare your child for school and Salem-Keizer Public Schools, please visit our district website for more information and to register.

PRE REGISTRATION - GRADES 1 -5

All students need to pre register for the 2021-2022 school year.

Use your Parentvue account and log in through the school district website to update informaiton and register your students for next school year. https://salkeiz.k12.or.us/parentvue-studentvue/

LOOKING AHEAD - Volunteers & Families in the Classroom

It is our hope that we will be able to have volunteers and family members in the classroom next school year. This would include visiting your child for lunch or staying in the classroom for birthdays or any other reason. In preparation, each person that visits the school during the day will need a cleared background check on file with the district. You can start the process on the disctict website HERE. Once approved, the background check is good for up to 5 years. If you are not sure you have an updated background check, please call the school office and we can help.
