News to Know...

Mid-terms - Fourth quarter mid-terms go home on Friday, April 15. I would like a copy (digital or hard copy) of your midterms.

Staff Lunches - If you get a lunch, please stop by Brenda and let her know. There have been some confusions on staff who order lunch versus staff who actually get lunch. To get an accurate count, stop by and say hello to Brenda after you get your tray!

Birthday Treats - When students want to bring in birthday treats, please remind parents that only store bought treats are allowed. You can encourage individually wrapped and nothing that has to be cut and/or served. Treats will be checked by Nikki before being allowed in the classroom to prevent any issues with allergies.

Computer Lab - The computer lab schedule has changed due to MAP testing prep and testing. The window for SRI testing will be April 28 through May 10. This will overlap with MAP testing.

iPads for Testing - iPads from 2nd through 5th and AMP will be collected and used for 3rd grade testing. Please have all charging cords (keyboard charging cords and iPad chargers) ready to be collected on April 1 or April 4.

Farris will use 4th grade

Schmitz will use 5th grade

Smith will use 2nd grade

Hamilton and others doing accommodated testing will use AMP iPads.

iPads will be returned by April 20 to all 2nd-5th grade classrooms to use for SRI testing.

Absences - Thank you for keeping me in the loop! Continue to email me, text me, or drop me a note if you have a planned or emergent absence. If you are out (and your position does not require a sub) and have a AM, Lunch/Recess, or PM duty - ask someone to cover ahead of time!

TSTs - If you have a student you need to have a final TST meeting, please email me or stop by to schedule a final TST meeting ASAP! Please make sure your TST folders are updated with all current interventions/accommodations you use with the students so that the teachers for next year will be ready!

Class Lists - We will start to work on these in a few weeks! Start thinking about separations and jotting some notes down. This will be a Teamwork Tuesday item for K-2 starting next week.

Positive Office Referrals - Keep them coming! Extra copies are available in the office. The smiles they are putting on the kids' faces is priceless!

General Reminders -
* IC updated at a minimum of the 15th and the end of the month
* Websites kept up-to-date
* Remember to use pre-corrects, Belair B.E.S.T. matrix language, Positive Office Referrals, and Bulldog Bucks! 4:1 is our goal with all kids!
* Newsletters can be turned in as a paper copy or emailed as a digital copy. I prefer digital!
