- Be sure to target these documents to each position that you're applying for by mimicking the language found in the job descriptions and including the most relevant experiences and skills you have on your resume

- Big Interview: This is a fantastic interview preparation tool! Big Interview has virtual interviewers that ask you questions that can be specified for different industries, levels of difficulty, and more!

- If you have a virtual interview, Big Interview allows you to record yourself giving your answers so that you can improve your body language

Tarana Burke: Founder of 'me too' Movement hosted by AMP
Join the William & Mary community in welcoming Tarana Burke as she shares the story behind the genesis of the viral 2017 TIME Person Of The Year-winning ‘me too.’ Movement and gives strength and healing to those who have experienced sexual trauma or harassment.
Tickets are $10 for the public and FREE for students, faculty and staff with ID. Due to the limited seating, please RSVP to the event through Tribelink to ensure yourself a spot in the lottery for tickets for Commonwealth seating. RSVP does not guarantee a seat. Limited seating available for non-W&M community members. A free simulcast viewing will also be available in Chesapeake if you are unable to secure a ticket. Recipients of tickets from the lottery will be notified closer to date of the event. RSVP here!

DeBoer Foundation Summer internships 2019
The specific projects the intern will work on will depend on his/her skills and interests as well as the current needs of DFI. We want you to do work you find interesting and meaningful. Below are a few example projects.
Related to DFI's grantmaking, you could: research organizations that have been identified as potential grantees; compose summaries of grantees' work for our Board of Directors; write briefings about projects DFI supports to send to DFI donors and supporters; assemble information packets for DFI Board meetings; help manage our CRM / database of contacts; create graphs and charts for DFI's annual report; contribute to the development of a new DeBoer Foundation website; and more!

Education Intern with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting
Are you passionate about helping young people see the value of quality journalism at a time of “fake news” and “alternative facts”?
Our education team works with middle and high schools to bring pressing international issues, and the journalists who cover them, into the classroom. Our resources engage the latest international reporting across all media platforms and focus on a wide range of topics—many of them under-reported—including climate change, women and children in crisis, religion and public policy, water and sanitation, refugees and migrants, human rights, and public health.

Community Education Internship in Mexico!
We are seeking one or two dedicated interns to support and lead community education projects in the small towns surrounding Playa Viva. Individuals best suited for this role are "people persons" who are self-starters, resilient, and who especially like being with kids. This is an opportunity to live and be a part of a rural community project that allows for equal exchange of ideas and knowledge.
Interns need to be able to commit to a minimum of three months and be sufficiently fluent in Spanish to ensure a thorough exchange of ideas and information, these are paid experiences!

Education Pioneers Impact Fellowship
The EP Impact Fellowship is an intensive, 10-month experience that helps turn rising leaders' skills and passions for social good into new, tangible leadership opportunities — supporting educational equity and advancing careers, at the same time.
Fellows serve within a leading education organization. You’re matched with a project to advance data leadership or another strategic priority — where the skills and experience you bring can make the biggest impact, and where we believe you can grow and contribute beyond your role. We prioritize placements in data & analytics and strategic project management. Fellows are managed by an invested supervisor, and directly embedded within a team and organization.

Tutor Corps: Urban Education Fellowship
As a member of the Great Oaks Tutor Corps, you will mentor and tutor middle or high school students at a Great Oaks Charter School for the duration of one school year (August-June). This is a service role through AmeriCorps with regular full-time hours Monday-Friday and some Saturdays.
In exchange for your year of service you will receive a living stipend, free furnished housing with utilities included, health insurance and on-going professional development throughout the year. You will also be eligible for a Segal Education Award through AmeriCorps after the completion of your AmeriCorps term of service. Most importantly you will have an opportunity to shape the future of students living in urban communities.
The ideal candidate for the Great Oaks Tutor Corps is a bright, talented recent college graduate passionate about dedicating a year of service. Great Oaks has schools in Newark, NJ, New York, NY, Bridgeport, CT and Wilmington, DE, and is seeking tutors for all sites. The Tutor Corps plays an integral role in helping our schools achieve their mission: to prepare students to succeed in college. Great Oaks is seeking individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic andup for one of the most rewarding challenges of their lives.

Strategic Data Project Fellow
The Strategic Data Project (SDP) is an initiative of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. The SDP Fellowship program helps school system leaders use data and evidence in strategic decision-making to improve public education. By placing Fellows in school systems and education organizations across the United States, SDP provides a unique entry point for passionate quantitative researchers and data strategists who want to make a difference.
SDP Fellows are placed in full-time roles at host agencies including school districts, charter management organizations, state education departments, foundations, and education nonprofits. As an SDP Fellow, you and your host agency will develop clear priorities and plans for using data and build organizational willingness to use data for decision-making.
