Carbohydrates
Kayla Craven
Carbohydrates are most important because......
they are first of all your main source of energy as far as nutrients go. They are usually found in your organic foods other than meat. Carbohydrates have 2 forms although one isn't necessarily worse than the other. Complex carbs are the "better" ones for you but they are both beneficial to your body. Carbohydrates are also a good use for regulation of blood glucose. Along with regulation, they help to breakdown fatty acids. They are mainly found in fruits, vegetables, grain products, dry beans, nuts, and seeds.
There are 2 types of Carbohydrates.... Simple and complex.
Simple: They are made up of 1 or 2 sugars and are broken down quickly and found naturally sometimes but usually found in processed foods.

Complex: These are made up of 3 or more sugars. They're also referred to as "starchy" foods. These are more of your whole grain bread and veggies.
