Te Whare Akoranga o Maungawhau, July 28, 2022
From The Principal
As always, staff and students have got the term off to a positive start, and by now you should have received our Key Dates for the Term, giving you an overview of what's ahead. We encourage you to keep an eye on the school calendar available via the school website for any updates and amendments.
We continue to focus on our goals of re-engaging and re-connecting, which you will see reflected in our sports fixtures, PTA events, additional clubs and activities and the return of Productions in Y5 and 6. Managing all of these in a safe and responsible way will, of course, involve monitoring case numbers, following Public Health advice closely, and actively assessing potential risk factors, particularly where classes may be mingling more freely. The current indoor mask Policy for the first 4 weeks of term will provide an added layer of protection, after which we expect a further update from the Ministries of Education and Health.
Each of the events and activities we plan are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Mitigations are put in place as and when appropriate, with contingency planning in the event circumstances and/or Public Health advice changes.
I’d like to thank the teachers, parents and students for once again ensuring the children have a great start to the new term and look forward to seeing you around school at some point soon.
Once major community highlight to be aware of is the upcoming PTA Quiz Night, which I’m sure will be a fun opportunity to connect with others in support of our school.

Support our school by eating a delicious Roast at The Bridgman.
Seems too easy but $10 of every kids meal goes directly to our school funds. All you need to do is book your table and put MENPS into the ‘requests’ box and they will donate the profits of your kids meals back to the school.
Easy right?
Just book here - The Bridgman | Corner of Dominion & Valley Roads | Carefully curated food, drinks & cocktails.
