It was a great first week back in action! Our Sharks were hard at work this week. Everyone was able to get back into the routines so quickly! Next week is a full 5 day week of learning! On Friday we will celebrate all of the success we had in Quarter 2 before the break and also have a Shark SWAG party that afternoon!

Learning in the Primary Grades We are getting back into our routines and lots of learning is taking place. We are learning that words form sentences and belong in a specific order.	Animal Habitat Research in Montessori Work time has not missed a beat, since we returned. Our SHARKS are hard at work researching and creating animal habitats.	Learning in Elementary Grades Returning to learning and ready to tackle new SHARK TANK projects this semester. The students are researching.

SHARK Spirit Rock

We have a new addition this year to our school! It's a spirit rock to be rented out by families to celebrate their student! The guidelines and sign up link is below. All proceeds will help fund our field trips this year! Please be sure to pay AND sign up on SignUp Genius.

Reading Corner

This month we challenge you to have a little reading fun. As a family try to complete the reading scavenger hunt. Students benefit greatly from reading 20 minutes per day. Sometimes, students like to have parents and siblings join in the fun. If you or your family complete the challenge, please send Mrs. Spearman (angelaspearman@pickens.k12.sc.us) an email and your student can come choose a free book.
