Weekly Update on all things Sherwood November 16-20

Sherwood Elementary will be collecting non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for our community food drive this week November 16-20.

Items can be brought in anytime throughout the week. Drop off boxes will be set up in the Project Lab. Thank you for helping us celebrate the season of giving and supporting families in need at Sherwood. Students are encouraged to participate each day in a spirit week to support the drive.


MONDAY-Bring in a breakfast item (cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, etc.)

Wear pajamas to school


TUESDAY-Bring in a canned food item (vegetables, fruits, soups, beans, etc.)

Wear bright colors to school


WEDNESDAY-Bring in a bag of pasta or box of rice

Wear western clothes to school


THURSDAY-Bring in a meal in a box (hamburger helper, tuna helper, etc.)

Wear clothes inside out


FRIDAY-Bring in snack items or dessert items (crackers, fruit snacks, cookies, etc.)

Wear sweats to school


K/1 parents-we will also be collecting items on Tuesday night at the music performances so bring your donations that night as well.

Friday-Changes to Boys and Girls Club

OPEN in the morning

CLOSED after school

Thanksgiving Dinner: 5:30pm-7:00pm
(families welcome to join when they sign up!)

Thank you to our student performers, Mrs. Stringer and our special guest speakers Staff Sergeant Robert Graham (Air Force) and Staff Sergeant Paul Schmitz II (Army) for making the assembly so very special.

Parent Connection Opportunity

The Parent Cafes are an opportunity for the families of your school and families throughout the community to connect. Isabel’s House will be providing free dinner and child care. Isabel’s House currently has 2 Parent Café’s scheduled: Thursday, November 19th at Westport Elementary and Thursday, December 17th at Westport Elementary.
