OUR HEART FELT SYMPATHY!

This is not easy to say, Jim Conaway has passed away. A friend, a coach, a mentor, a supporter to many. Jim Conaway was a good man and I am so very grateful we were friends. His dedication to Northeast High School students and the Northeast Vikings N Club never wavered. Please pray for Jim’s family and especially his grandchildren.

The Lady Viking Volleyball Team had a very untraditional season dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. You girls showed perseverance and determination to make the most out of the situation. They didn't let anything bring them down and they pursued and achieved many goals. We had a very special season and one that I will never forget. I am so proud of every single one of you and will cherish all the memories we made forever!

2021 KC Scholars Scholarship Application - Reminders & Update


Dear High Schools:

It was great to see many of you at the recent Application Preview Workshops. We are less than two months until the opening of the 2021 KC Scholars Scholarship Application for 9th & 11th graders and adult learners – application opens January 1 and the deadline to apply is February 26, 2021.


Reminders and FAQs:


  • How can you spread the word to your students, families, and staff? For digital copies of flyers, presentation slides, and more:
  • What can you do now to help prepare your students for January 1st? What are the personal statement prompts for 2021? Use this Application Prep List to learn more.
  • New in 2021 - KC Scholars is using the College Board EFC Calculator to determine income eligibility. Not sure how to complete the College Board EFC Calculator to determine income eligibility for KC Scholars? Refer to the EFC Calculator Step-by-Step Guide or Video made specifically for purposes of applying to KC Scholars.
  • Is KC Scholars hosting any application workshops? YES – all outreach will be conducted virtually! Check the dates and platforms on this schedule.
