Weekly Update 05/03/19

Greetings Eastridge Families,

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. As always, this annual recognition couldn't come a moment too soon.

As someone who spends a lot of time visiting classrooms, I am consistently amazed at the tireless and heroic work of Eastridge teachers and staff. Our teachers and staff deserves a standing ovation every day for their high-quality work.

The Eastridge PTA, Administration, and district will formally show their appreciation for our teachers this week. Families are encouraged to show their appreciation as well. A positive note, email, phone call, etc. can mean a lot to those that work so hard regardless of public recognition.

Have a great week and as always, I thank you for your continued support of Eastridge Elementary!

Mrs. Johnson

We love celebrating our students so please make sure they come to school each day. A weekly surprise is given to all students with 96% attendance for the week. Students who attend school regularly have been shown to achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance. Every school day counts in a child's academic life... a missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn. The effects of lost school days build up one absence at a time. Leaving early or coming in late, is a loss of instructional time that cannot be made up.
