What's Happening this Week?
Math - prime and composite numbers
Science - learning about adaptations
Social Studies - beginning Chp. 9
ELA - continuing poetry unit, working on publishing our autobiography book, and beginning a new project on biographies
Writing - students will work on the Revising/Editing part of the Writing Process as they complete their autobiography books
Play Day - this Thursday!
This Thursday, May 7, is the 4th grade Play Day at Fossil Ridge high school. Coach Hernandez and the others involved with planning Play Day will be closely monitoring the weather this week and will reschedule Play Day if needed due to weather. We will keep you posted on this decision!
Students will need a sack lunch and are encouraged to bring MORE food than normal! They are competing in events all day, and all that exercise leads to hunger! Be sure to pack water or Gatorade! Also, if the weather cooperates, don't forget to pack sunscreen!

Report cards were sent home on Friday and are online as well. Remember, on the Home Access Center (HAC) page, you are able to set up alerts for your child's assignments - it will let you determine
Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the Science Fair project. Students have let us know what their topics are, and by Tuesday, they need to have their purpose (question they want to answer) and hypothesis turned in. Students will be provided tri-fold boards soon.
Teacher Appreciation Week
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! This is a great opportunity to thank your teachers for all their hard work. Of course, this is voluntary!
