Ebinport Eagle Eye Faculty News
May 6-10
Safety and Security: #1 Priority
Please make sure you are adhering to the following:
- Policy ECA directs that all classroom doors must be shut and locked while teaching class or while vacant. The policy plus the very powerful speech this summer from Michelle Gay is why all teachers including substitutes must have a key and access badge to their classroom and building. If you don’t remember Joey (Michelle’s daughter) was killed because the substitute could not lock the classroom door. If you need keys or badges please make sure to enter a work order.
- Make sure that you are always pulling a different pull station during fire drills. We have on multiple occasion this year found fire systems not activating when a station is pulled. Any fire alarm issues should have a work order placed marked emergency and safety. Also, please call Kevin Wren or Brian Vaughan to let us know.

PTO Yearbook
The Ebinport PTO has additional copies of the yearbook that are available for purchase for $20. If you are interested in reserving a copy for your child, please email Mr. Slagle at tslagle@rhmail.org with your child's name and homeroom teacher. All copies will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Yearbooks will be distributed during May after state testing.
From PTO
In the past, the Runathon has been a fun way to collect money to go towards PTO and school initiatives. When looking at our fundraising data from the past year, a very obvious “lopsided” trend was noticed. In an effort to pour our energy into events that are successful and fun for all students, the Ebinport PTO has decided to not host the Runathon this year. It has been a year of transition as a school and as an organization, and we are excited to continue having these tough conversations about what our “new Ebinport” looks like in the fall.
Instead, PTO has decided to partner with Coach Brownshield on field day. We will be purchasing water and t-shirts for all students. In addition, we will help to coordinate volunteers and arrange for a Kona Ice “cool down” station. All students will receive a Kona Ice courtesy of PTO.
