PLP - Reminder!
At lunchtime on Friday 12th December, Professor Matthew Fisher from Imperial College London will be coming to speak to Halcyon about his charity 'Save the Frogs.' in the Hub. Amphibian extinctions are happening worldwide due to infections. Please come along!
Upcoming Sports Events
In January we have the girls indoor football tournament at Seymour Leisure Centre. This is open to all girls in Grades 6-10. There will also be a Halcyon Staff team participating. Further information to follow after the holiday.
Also, there will be an indoor football session open to all students in Grades 6-8 and another session open to all students in Grades 9-10. These will be mixed events for both boys and girls.
Dates TBC but all the above events will be on a Thursday from 4-5pm at Seymour Leisure Centre.
International Family showcase
There is a meeting today with all the volunteers during lunch break in TO1.

This is a list of the participants (so far) who have expressed interest in Secret Santa, all students on the list below, please come to Mrs. Zago's room F01 Thursday during morning break. If your name is not listed below, but would like to join, please come along on Thursday during morning break!
Please return all basketball and football kits to Mr Byrne by Wednesday this week.
Please can all players in the Girls' Football Team return their red shirts by the end of this week. Please wash them and hand them in to Ms Mills by Friday at the very latest.

Notice from the Holiday Committee:
Hello, we are the holiday committee and we are raising awareness for a charity called Kids Company, which is a charity for poor children living in London. We would like to ask if you have any boxes or shoe boxes, if you could bring them into school and donate them. We will wrap them and send them to the charity. The charity will then fill them with presents and give them to the children. Thank you for your help!
We would like to decorate our school, if you want to collaborate with us please bring either a decoration or some money to help us. Any religions decorations are welcome!
Please give the items or the money to your advisor.
Holiday Committee project
One of the strand of the SA programme is building Halcyon community for this reason four of the members of the Holiday Committee are organising a Secret Santa for the whole school. If you like to participate please come a see Christine, Alexia, Catherine and Charlie S during morning break on Friday.

Christmas Jumper Day!
Hello everyone! On the 12th of December, it is Christmas Jumper Day! This means that everyone must (if they want to) wear a Christmas jumper and donate at least £1. All the donations will go to the charity ‘Save the Children’. This event is hosted by them but in our school, it is hosted by Daphni in Grade 10. If you have any questions, contact Daphni.
Battery Recycling Box:
Batteries are very dangerous for our environment and they are commonly used by us everyday and it is our job to recycle them. There is a brand new battery recycling box in the science lab, please bring in any used batteries and place them in the box.
