Career Start Application NOW Open
Parents, Guardians and Students,
MSHS Counselors are excited about Career Start opportunities! Have you heard about the Career Start Program at PPSC (Pikes Peak State College)? The Career Start Program is a concurrent enrollment offering at Pikes Peak State College that provides high school students with opportunities to earn both college and high school elective credit towards a certificate in a vocational setting and immersion to the college environment and expectations. Through this program, students participate in career technical programs that provide hands-on learning environments at the PPSC Centennial Campus as part of their regular school day (Monday- Friday). Students who participate in Career Start attend PPSC in the morning and return to MSHS to complete their high school courses in the afternoon. If your student is on track to graduate and is in 10th or 11th grade and wants to find out more- please encourage them to sign up in the counseling center by January 13th so we can pull them for an informational session. There are limited slots available. For more information as to what programs are available, click here: https://www.pikespeak.edu/academics/high-school-programs/_hsp-uploads/Career%20Start%20Flyer.pdf
