  • All students need to come to school with a mask or two daily. These need to be supplied by parents.

  • Student Chromebooks need to come to school each day. They need to be charged and ready to work for the day. Students also need to have the charging cord.

  • Please make sure your child is only using their device for school related tasks. And keeping it away from younger siblings and animals to help it from being damaged.

Daily Dismissal

Our new dismissal process is running smoothly, thanks to all of you! Continue to be patient with our kids and with one another as our goal is to keep everyone safe. Dismissal is a time of day that takes awhile to get everyone out of the building and into cars. We would like to continue to have everyone getting into their car from the curb. And we will continue to ask that you move up in the line so we can also keep that moving along.

If you are walking up to get your child/children please make sure to stand on one of the red dots painted on the ground. We are still practicing social distancing and want to keep everyone away from the doors where students are exiting.

Thank you for understanding and working through our process.

State Testing News

We will be taking state tests this year. They are coming up this month. Please make sure your child has a good nights sleep, dresses comfortably and is at school on time. This is great advice for daily attendance of school but on testing days it helps even more. See the testing schedule at the link below.

Field Trips

There are a few field trips coming up in the next few days and weeks. Please keep in mind if you have not filled out the Oneview Registration form you child will not be able to leave the building for any trips. If you have questions we can help you, just call the office at 845-4480.

PTO and Title One Event

Our Elementary PTO and our Title One Staff will be offering an awesome event called, "Sweeten Your Saturday". The event will take place Saturday, April 17. Please see the flier at the link below for more information and to order your donuts now!

Tecumseh Local School App

Please take a minute and download the App to your phone. This will help you stay connected to what is going on in our district and school. Thank you.

You can NOW add your student absences on the APP too. Go to the App, then to NCES, then choose Forms. Fill it out and it goes directly to the office staff. It is available 24 hours a day.

This is a very handy way to have this at your fingertips.

NCES has an Instagram account. Please follow us to see the fun and educational happenings at New Carlisle Elementary School. Tell your friends and family to join us too. I try to post pictures almost daily.

New Carlisle Elementary has a Twitter page. Feel free to join @ArrowsNces, to see what is going on at NCES.

Positive Referrals

The students at NCES are able to receive positive referrals from staff for going above and beyond. We are so proud of our students who have earned positive referrals during the month.

When students receive a positive referral their photo is taken, the receive a bracelet, candy or a pencil. Additionally, students receiving positive referrals are honored as we hang their photo in the hallway of each student receiving a positive office referral and these students are also honored on our morning announcements which can be viewed on our Youtube channel, and their pictures scroll on the TV in the office. It is really exciting for our students.

  • Check out the LINK here to watch the slideshow.

We are up to 166 Positive Referrals!! WAY TO GO KIDS!!!! You are the good example for others! Keep it up the great work.

Tecumseh Education Connection

The Education Connection is a telephone number that you can call 24-hours a day to listen to your child’s homework assignments, report your child’s absence, hear the lunch menu, find out the scores of the big game, hear about school closings and leave a private message for a staff member.

You will still need to call your child in if they will not be attending school, or doing their online work for the day. We will still need to document attendance. We are marking students with green, yellow and red attendance.

Please use the TEC number for:

  • Calling your child in sick.
  • Leave a voicemail with questions.
  • 937-845-4483

We now have Latchkey at NCES. Please take advantage of the fun and learning that takes place each and every day in our Latchkey Program. It is open from 7:00am.- 5:30 pm daily for your convenience.

Arrival and Dismissal at NCES

Arrival - Please drop off all students at the front door by 8:30 to make a shuttle bus. Students are not able to enter the building prior to 8:30. If your child is having breakfast they can also enter at this time. If your child is NOT eating breakfast at school they can arrive at 8:55.

Dismissal - All students will be picked up using the curb lane. This is a safety concern for our students. It is also another way to continue social distancing.

Thank you for your cooperation. Our students safety is our highest concern.

Boxtops for Education

Please continue to send in Boxtops for Education. We use these funds to help buy items for the children to help support their activities that take place here at NCES. Please keep saving and sending the Boxtops and Campbell’s label proofs into school as you collect them.
