Looking Back on Last Semester

Last Semester ASCUI was able to get a list of concerns from CUI students about what they would like to see fixed, altered, or changed here at CUI. From that list we were able to make committees and address problems as best as we could.

Current/On Going Committees/Concerns:

Sustainability (Recycling),

Condition of RES Halls,

Condition of Bathrooms

Copncerns Addressed/Fixed:

Cafeteria Space--- This will be changed with the Master Plan.

More Music Space--- This will be addressed with the Master Plan.

Study Spaces--- Hours have been changed for the Library and Eagle Lounge is open.

Longer Hours for Emendare, Library, Eagle Lounge--- These have been extended and posted.

Amphitheater Walkway--- Put in by University Services.

Commuter Lockers--- These are located in the Eagle Lounge.

Discount Card--- The Eagle card lists several places where your can get discounts by showing a CUI ID card.

Car washes--- Unfortunately these are illegal to put on in Irvine and are not permitted on campus.

Shuttles to Local Churches--- Abbeywest has carpools every Sunday that take students to LCMS Churches in the area.

ASCUI has been working hard to come up with solutions to these problems and bring them to higher Administration.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Don't forget there will be no classes held Monday, January 20, for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

ASCUI Executive Board

"That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe...Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:10,12
