FSC Principal's Update

April 29, 2022

Finneytown Families,

Thanks to all of you who helped to make prom and after prom so successful. Heather Howard spent many hours in preparation for the big night. Ann Morey, in district office, took care of fees and all of those last minute calls. Grant Anderson took care of the music at prom which is never an easy task (DJ Grant). Lisa Turner helped with the collection of after prom tickets and contracts. Parents and staff spent a ton of time on set up as well as attending after prom to make sure things went well. We had people decorating on Friday and Saturday to prepare for the evening. MANY parents and staff helped at after prom with all the food and booths. So many people helped to make the event successful! I appreciate all of you and your hard work; I know that our students were and are thankful!

We will be collecting computers prior to students leaving for the year. This will happen after their last exam, in that bell, if not before. It will depend on if they need their computer for their exams.

As always, if you have any questions, please reach out.

Staff Spotlight (Stephanie Belschner)

Hi, I'm Stephanie Belschner, one of the 8-12 school counselors working with PEM & Telford students. This is my third year at Finneytown. I'm an Indiana native, but currently live in Mason with my husband, 8th grade daughter, 7th grade son - and our two dogs. I love tennis and am lucky enough to work at the Western & Southern Open in Mason every summer; where both of my kids participate as ball persons. My husband and I work together on a player services committee, so it's a family affair! I also love everything Disney and we try to get to Disney World at least once a year. Fun Fact, I share something in common with Tom Brady - we were both once locked in Notre Dame's football stadium (not at the same time)!

Graduation

Start hoping and praying for nice weather on May 26th! If it is nice, we will be at the stadium and will not need to limit tickets. If the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to move indoors, we will head to the gym for the ceremony. In that case, we would have to limit tickets to 7 per graduate.

FMPA

The Finneytown Music Parents Association would like to extend all our gratitude to the students & families that participated in the Butter Braid Fundraiser. Because of your efforts we were able to raise $4520! We are so thankful to the community for their support! These are funds that will benefit music programming for students in K - 12th grades. Congratulations to the following students whose names were drawn as winners in our Dunkin’ Donuts gift card sales incentive -
Max McMahan (HS), Axel Valle (MS), Hannah Hoverson (W), and Brooklyn Perry (B).
