SLP Online 7-8 families,
We have officially kicked off the online school year for grades 7-8. I know students were eager to get back into the swing of school and start making those meaningful connections with their teacher and classmates online this week.
Throughout this year, you will see your student participating in various learning activities. These tasks might include synchronous (live) learning, asynchronous (on-demand) learning, discussion boards, and more. It is important that students are active in Schoology, our learning management system, on a daily basis to ensure they are not missing out on these learning opportunities.
The best place to get information about schedules, times, assignments and activities continues to be in Schoology. Students have a separate course for each of their online classes. Schoology is the primary platform for communication between student and teacher, and where the teacher will share any class updates throughout the day/week/year.
As we progress through the school year, if you are seeing that your child might need a little additional support, please reach out to their counselor for personalized learning. Our grade 7-8 online students are fortunate to have the same counselor for personalized learning, Caleb Luecke. If you or your student have questions about schedules or need support, please connect with Mr. Luecke via Schoology, email clueck@district16.org or call 763-600-5323.
Each Wednesday, we will be sending out information via this email newsletter. This is where you can find updates on learning and important information.
Thank you for your partnership in making this a great school year!

Technology Resources To Help You Right Now
Having trouble remembering your parent passwords? Not sure how to log in to Schoology? Wondering how to fix an iPad that isn't working properly? We’ve gathered links and information in a hub for you on the Technology Tools, Resources and Log Ins page.
Parent Passwords
Our troubleshooting tips on the Technology Tools, Resources and Log ins page include information on parent passwords. Here are a few tips:
- If you don't have a district parent username, please contact techsupport@district16.org
- In many cases, you are using a district created username and password, which means clicking a "forgot my password" links on pages within Campus and Schoology will not work. To change your district password, go to the SLP Password Portal. The link and other information is located under Troubleshooting tips on the Technology Tools, Resources and Log ins page.
- Seesaw is a parent-created account. If you need to change your Seesaw password, you will reset your password through the Seesaw website.
iPad Tips
- If you are having issues with your iPad not working, visit the iPad Support page.
- If you are missing any needed apps, go to Self Service to download the apps. Learn about using Self Service on an iPad: https://youtu.be/2ct5F7WYFEs
