Cougar Connect Community Edition

November 29-December 03 Issue 14

Principal Arellano's Post

Greetings Cougar Families!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with those you love. We are excited to welcome students back on Monday! We look forward to focusing on student growth, both academically and socially over the next three weeks before our next break.

Habits of Success

For the next three weeks, we will focus on the Habit, Sense of Belonging. We find it crucial for our students to feel connected to our community. A sense of Belonging is important for so many reasons. This Habit helps our students with the following:

  • They are more likely to engage in and benefit from positive relationships with peers and trusting adults.
  • It deters students from participating in bully-like behavior.
  • Increases participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Increases students' value in learning, motivation, and interest in their academic/social growth.
  • Students have positive attitudes towards homework.

Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!

Principal Arellano

Cougar Alert

  • Drop off time in the morning is at 8:00 a.m. Please do not drop students off prior to 8:00 a.m. as we do not have duty staff available for supervision.

  • All visitors must check-in at the front office prior to entering the school building. Please wear a mask when entering our building.

  • During arrival and dismissal, please be courteous and avoid blocking driveways. We have had several of our neighbors call to report that their driveways are blocked, preventing them from leaving their homes.

  • We are looking for parent volunteers. If this interests you, please contact our front office.

Snapshots of the Week

Cougars are Creative

Our first-grade Cougars in Mrs. Pesut's class get to work on being creative and engaging in design every Friday morning during their class build time. This is an amazing experience that they look forward to every week!
