Environmental Science Goes to Yosemite!

This week was an exciting one for our Environmental Science classes! They traveled by bus to Yosemite Valley for 5 nights of learning, exploring, and having fun. This year, Miss Cortes, Mr. Priebe, and Mr. Joyce joined as chaperones.

During the week, they hiked to upper Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, and the Mist Trail to view Nevada Falls and Vernal Falls. Kids learned about rock climbing, geology, forest ecology, bears, stewardship, decorated cabins, did creative Yosemite themed skits, and made new friends. Kids learned to detach from their screens for a week to enjoy and embrace nature, science, human connections, and just play outside! This is a trip of a lifetime for our students! Check out some of the fun below.
