KRMS Principal Update

Parent Update

Today is the official last day of the first semester. That means your child is half way through their 7th or 8th grade year. That being said, we have a lot of work left this year. Monday, February 1, 2021 is the start of the 3rd quarter (second semester).

It is great to report that our Galaxy team (Virtual) continues to meet the demands of on-line "live" virtual instruction/learning. I've been to a few Friday team meetings and a shout out to our 8th grade Galaxy team leaders that have put together some great team opportunities.

Students on teams Delta (7th), Quest (7th), Summit (8th), and Trek (8th) have been doing an excellent job in getting to school and following the Covid-19 expectation with maks and social distancing. Keep up the great work.

Parents I appreciate your continued support. Our transition from coming off of the full 2 week virtual setting has been seamless. My only request to families is that you please complete the daily Covid screening on the days your child attends schools. Below are the directions for parents that still need to sign up for the PowerSchool parent portal if you happen to still need them. If you need your child's username and password to set this up, please call the main office.

We have 3 solid weeks of instruction without interruption leading up to our Winter Recess (February vacation). A reminder that if you child is traveling outside of New England for break, please contact our school nurse as part of our state and district's guidelines, they would need to quarantine for 10-days.

COVID Hotline 603-581-1615

This is available for parents and staff to call any time after usual business hours if student or staff member has tested positive. Information is kept confidential and forwarded to the District so contact tracing can begin. We appreciate your assistance.

A Parent's Guide to COVID-19

Please see the attached PDF as a parent reference to check for symptoms and understand when it is okay for your child to return to school. This is the same protocol and expectations for all staff as well.

GWRSD Chromebooks - Technology Assistance

For hybrid students that need a computer at home, we are requesting that your child brings their computer home and to school daily. If in the event that we are not back in school due to a closure, your child would be expected to participate in their education remotely. The Chromebook is an essential tool for 21st century learners and your assistance in helping your child create a routine to bring it back to school and bring it home daily is greatly appreciated.

For technology assistance or support a great GWRSD site to visit is:
