Highlights
- ASU has always been a test optional school and has never required ACT or SAT for admission purposes.
- ASU Barrett the Honors College- Moving to test blind. Even if a student has taken the ACT or SAT, they will not be looking at those scores.
- ASU Merit based scholarships- previously awarded on core ABOR GPA and test scores. Being aware of the challenges with registering and taking the ACT/SAT, they will be making modifications to allow students to be considered for NAMu Scholarship without those scores. For more info you can directly contact our CHS representative.
- ASU Scholarship portal opens on September 1 to search outside of merit scholarships.
- OCTOBER 1st- FAFSA opens up. Parents and students should start creating your FSA ID now because there is a waiting period before it can be used to sign the FAFSA.
- JANUARY 15th- Priority FAFSA filing date for ASU. Important especially for students who want to be considered for the Obama Scholarship.
- Webinars on all three in-state universities (U of A, ASU, NAU). Tri-University Week Sep 8-12.

As soon as students register for the class on their Student Center Portal, they need to pay their tuition in full or set up a payment plan by the end of the business day today to avoid any enrollment cancellations. Payment Options: https://www.cgc.edu/admissions/tuition-payment/ways-pay

# KEEP GOING
National Suicide Prevention Week is September 6 -12. The theme for this year is the very simple but important message: Keep Going.
In the era of Covid-19, as we all try to protect our mental health and cope with uncertainty, it’s more important than ever that we be there for each other and take steps to prevent suicide. You don’t have to be a mental health professional to make a difference. There are simple things we can all do to safeguard our own mental health, and you don’t have to do it alone.
From learning the warning signs for suicide and what to do if you are worried someone is struggling, to advocating for smart suicide prevention legislation, to having a #RealConvo about mental health, to bringing education programs to your community, we can all learn new ways to help each other save lives. Together, we can #KeepGoing.
In advance of National Suicide Prevention Week, AFSP has launched a website featuring resources, personal stories, social media graphics, and a calendar of events planned throughout the month of September that you can participate in.
Together, we will #KeepGoing!
