What's Buzzin' at Bryant

Week of January 9, 2023

A Message from Mrs. Johnson

Hello Bryant families,

Wow! What a great start to 2023! A super storm could not stop us from getting down to what we do best ..... LEARNING! It was a wet and soggy week but we survived.

Parents please be on the look out. Progress reports (PR) will be going home with students on Friday, January 13th. During trimesters 2 and 3, PRs are only required to be distributed to those students who are considered to "at risk". It is important that you speak to your child, the classroom teacher, and/or check your child's backpack for the PR.

At Bryant, we have always been a very small and collaborative school community. It is our desire to work TOGETHER to ensure our school enviornnment is one that promotes inclusivity, kindness, and the expectation that everyone will do thier absolute best both in and and out of the classroom. During this time of year, we begin to see an increase of inappropriate student behavior. If a situation is brought to your attention by any school staff member, please work with us and your child. Our only goal is to ensure all of our Little Bees experience a high level of success! Talk to your child and work with the teacher. We thank you in advance for your support.

As always, Bee Fantastic, Bee Great, Bee the Difference! Have a great week!

Attention all 6th grade parents

We are so excited that our students will once again have the opportunity to attend Science Camp. As we begin the preparation process, we will be holding two parent meeting sessions. One will be in person and the other will be virtual. All 6th grade parents are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend one of the two sessions. Please see the meeting info on the flyer below.
Big picture

We are right back into the swing of things!

Mrs. Broadnax and her Fantastic Fourth grade students did not miss a beat. Last week they began their unit on the force of gravity. What better way to extend learning on the force of gravity than by having them build their own ramps to propel an object. Great job! Keep up the awesome work!

Mrs. Shanta always brings the sunshine!

Reading books aloud to children stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. No matter the grade level, our Bryant students love to have books read to them. Thank you to Mrs. Shanta for always sharing the power of reading and the written word.

Core Virtue for the month of January - COURAGE

Courage is the ability to control fear and to be willing to deal with something that is dangerous, difficult, or unpleasant. We are faced with situations on a daily basis that may create some fear or uncertainty within us. Showing courage is to demonstrate the ability to overcome that fear and to do what is right.

Order your yearbook and pay online!

It's finally here! There is an option to order your yearbook and pay for it online. Please use your phone to scan the QR code on the flyer below and you will be directed to Bryant's site to order. You may also continue to submit your order form and cash payment in the front office. We have only ordered a certain number of books so don't miss out.
