Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin was a dictator of the union of Soviet. He was born in 1878, this man was transformed from a peasant to a powerful military man. When he was ruling many feared him it was a reign of terror. Stalin became more involved in revolutionary politics and criminal activity as a young man. After Vladimir Lenin died Stalin fought for the power. Once he gets into power he collectivized farming and had enemies. He aligned himself with the U.S. and Britain in World War ll, but soon after he increasingly raised the tension with the west known as the Cold War. In 1912 Stalin was officially appointed into power. He became secretary general of central committee of the communist party. In 1949 he led the soviets into a nuclear age by exploding an atomic bomb. Stalin grew paranoid in his later years and died on March 5, 1953 after suffering a stroke.
