The Boston Tea Party was a protest by the Sons of Liberty on December 16,1773. The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Indans and dumped out in the Boston Harbor a full ship of tea send from an East Indian Company . they did this in defiance of the Tea Act on May 10 ,1773.

The whole reason why the Boston Tea party was formed was because the high tax on tea.
