News and Updates from FSMA

Building Community

At FSMA, we work hard to build and strengthen our classroom communities and our school-wide community. We know that children learn best when they feel a sense of belonging. Children are much more likely to take risks with their learning and try new things when they feel a part of a group that supports them. In order to build community, children need opportunities to interact both in and out of the classroom. Teachers create safe, friendly environments within the classroom everyday. FSMA also sees the importance in creating opportunities for children to come together outside of school. Events like Pump It Up and the Happy Hearts Dance are not only fun, but created with a purpose - to strengthen the entire FSMA community!

Check out the SignUp Genius link (below and on our website) for ways you can support FSMA over the next few weeks. There are many activities for our children that require parent volunteers and donations. Some of the ways you can help are - donating baked goods, helping with decorating, volunteering at events, and more. We ask that ALL families think about what works best for them and signs up to help in one way at either the Happy Hearts Celebration or Winter Olympics. Thank you for helping us create such memorable opportunities for our community!
