Weekly Update
Week of March 23rd School Closure Week 2 of 7
Principals Corner
Happy 4TH Sunday in Lent! As promised, I will do my best to keep you updated. Instead of monthly newsletters I will be emailing a weekly update as right now things are ever changing. Our Distance Learning program is in full swing, and we are moving swiftly to correct any hiccups we have encountered. Just know that all our teachers are available by email and will respond in a timely manner. Because our office is closed, we have implemented an off-campus phone number. We would like to continue to be available to our families during this time.
Feel free to call with any questions during the hours of 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.

On a personal note, I miss seeing all my happy students in the morning, I miss greeting all my families as you walk your children to class, and I miss the loud noise as the students head down the stairs. Like many of you, I miss my routine, my desk, my staff and my normalcy. But as I went for a walk with my family Saturday (like tons of other families) I thought... This was God's plan. This was a way of slowing the world down and forcing us to focus on what’s most important, FAITH and FAMILY. I don't want anyone to assume that I don't worry for those who have contracted the virus, or those that are losing their jobs due to this. But I can only control what God allows me too, and right now that's not much.
I place all my faith in God, faith that he will rescue all families in need and that He will assist in the Governments decisions during this time. I pray everyone receives what they need to bounce back from this pandemic and that our school will as well. We too will face a hard decision of how to budget moving forward. Our Preschool brings in a significant amount in tuition and that will be a complete loss for our school during the month of April. Pray for us, and that all our preschool families will return.
Although concerns can often keep me up at night, it was moments like Saturdays walk that give me peace. I know our Lord is present and there to guide us. Take this time to be present with him and with your children. Sit and pray with them, sit and play with them, be the parent we all (including myself) wish we had more time to be. I will be praying for all my OLPH families. I miss everyone and can't wait to see my Angels once again.
Blessings,
Mrs. C
