Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the counselors of the Moberly Public Schools is to provide high quality, comprehensive school counseling services to all students. Our programs are designed to help all students develop and enhance their academic, social, career, and personal strengths in order to become lifelong learners, problem solvers and responsible, productive citizens.
Counseling Services Provided
Small Group Counseling: 6 to 8 sessions focusing on: Grief and Loss, Social Skills, Worry, Self Esteem and other needs identified. Parent/Guardian consent is required. If interested, look for information coming out in the Fall or contact Mrs. Heimann at 660.269.2630.
Brief Solution Focused Counseling: Referrals for meeting individually with students can come from staff, teachers or parents. Parent/Guardian consent is required.
Parent and Teacher Consultations: I'm available to discuss topics such as understanding child development, ideas and tips to best meet children's behavioral, emotional and academic needs.
Community Resource Referrals: Community resources such as clothing, food, connection with service agencies.
