THE LION'S ROAR!
December 9, 2022
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRIDE LEADER
Hello Norris Lions!
Welcome back after Spring Break! I hope you had time over the week off to make memories with your family, and to gear up for the busy season that is the end of the year! It is more important than ever that parents are closely attending to school emails as we enter the season of testing, field trips, and special events.
We will kick off our busy spring with our Book Fair and Multi-Cultural Night next Thursday, April 20th. We are actively seeking volunteers for the Book Fair! The money profited from the Spring Book Fair will go directly back into our Library funds. Please consider volunteering if you are able!
Multi-Cultural Night on Thursday from 6:00-7:30 is an awesome opportunity to enjoy a night of art, music, dancing, and snacks with your student! We hope to see you all at this free and fun event!
Mrs. Dolezal, Principal

COMMUNITY CORNER NEWSLETTER - APRIL
KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP - MAY 5TH
No Food Treats, Please!
Due to the increasing number of students in the building with food allergies, we ask that parents do not send treats to school for birthdays or other special occasions. Great ideas for birthday treats that are non-food are stickers, pencils, erasers, or other small items. Our teachers do an awesome job of celebrating student birthdays in the classroom to make sure the day is special for kids!
Thank you for helping keep all Norris students safe at school!
5th Grade & Senior Clap Outs!
May 25th, the final day of school, we will be celebrating two very special groups of students. Our current 5th graders moving on to middle school, and any graduating high school seniors who attended Norris Elementary!
All staff and students will line the hallways of Norris for 5th graders and Seniors to proceed through the building one final time. Parents are invited to line the sidewalks outside the building to cheer for our 'graduating' 5th graders and Seniors. Our "Clap Out" will begin at approximately 11:40.
Please help us spread the word to any friends, families, or neighbors with seniors graduating from any MPS school this year who are former Norris students. We would love to see them on May 25- in their cap and gown!
