Here you would get details what is Apostille & which country accepts Apostille?

What is Aposttile?

An “Apostille” is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention of 1961. Apostille Stamp is a square shaped computer generated sticker stamp, pasted on reverse of the Apostille documents by the MEA, India. Similarly Apostille MEA Stamp is a unique stamp having a unique identification number, through which any member of country of the Hague convention can check its authencity on internet.

Countries That Accept Apostille:

Following are the countries that have signed The Hague Convention and are member of it. As they are signatory members of the Apostille treaty they do not require a compulsory MEA general attestation and demand MEA to issue Apostille to the documents intended to be used in their country. But the requirement of attestation and Apostille can vary depending upon the type of document:

Procedure of Apostille:

That country who is a member of Hague Convention requires only Apostille procedure for authentication of documents. India is a member since 15 Nov 1965. India has designated the same authority for Apostille as it has designated for General attestation i.e, ( MEA ) . MEA undertakes attestation and Apostille both.
