One Body in Christ: Our Spiritual Theme
Life and Dignity of the Human Person
Both of our Gospel reflections for September’s theme on the Life and Dignity of the Human
Person invite us to think about our relationships with those with whom we’d rather not have a relationship.
In the parable of the Good Samaritan (Lk 10:25-37) we find that the caregiver and the victim should be diametrically opposed in faith, politics, traditions, etc. Yet, the overwhelming need of the injured man causes the Good Samaritan to put aside personal attitudes to do the right
thing at the right time.
In the story of the Samaritan Woman (Jn 4:1-42) we see Jesus, a Jew, reach out to the woman, a Samaritan. Not only was he crossing religious and political lines, he also crossed gender lines. So shocking was this episode to the woman that one could sense
some indignation on her part before it changed to respect.
Who will it be for us this week? Who is the person we’d rather not encounter? Then, how
will we cross whatever the barrier is or has been to show respect for this person?
- Dr. De Angelo, Superintendent of Catholic Schools
Student Update Forms

Instructions:
- Each family must log into their PowerSchool Parent Portal profile and update their child(ren)'s information: https://cdow.psisjs.com/public/home.html
- It is critical that we have your most recent address, phone numbers, emails, and contact information as it syncs with our school notification system and allows us to pull necessary reports for medical purposes as well as emergency contacts.

Please be sure to complete the Family Survey Form which enables the school to receive federal funds for services. The Family Survey Form is to be completed once per family.
Additionally, it continues to be important for students to get outside when possible for fresh air and exercise. We are so happy to be able to use our beautiful neighborhood as an extension of our campus. We will be using these spaces for classes, lunches and recess. Arrival & Dismissal
We remind families that drop-off and pick-up locations are identified for maximum safety of students and efficiency of traffic.
- Please display name cards in pick-up vehicles clearly
- Please do not identify secondary locations for your car riders to exit or meet your vehicle; Shallcross Ave. and Grant Ave. are the only acceptable supervised location for car drop-off and pick-up
- Please do not park and exit your vehicle if your child(ren) is a car rider
- Please use one side of the street for pick-up and drop-off to prevent crossing of the street in areas without a crossing guard
- Please be attentive to the instructions of the faculty stationed at drop-off and pick-up locations
Thank you!
