Library News
New this YEAR!!!
The Library Student Check In/Out system. When students enter the library they are to sign in on the computer using their student id number indicating the reason for their visit. They are to log out before they leave. This will provide media staff useful data including number of patron visits.
Library Book Order
It is time Ms. West begin planning a book order. If there are any books you would like to recommend for the library you may go to the ARC Website and on the homepage there is a link to "Request a Book". This link will remain active all year, please submit as many books as you would like.

Teen Read Week Info
Teen Read Week⢠is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users.
Teen Read Week's sub-theme for this year is Seek the Unknown @ your library, which encourages teens to explore and learn about the unknown through mystery, adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy books.

Library Reminders
-Students must have a pass to be in the media center -No more than 5 students at a time on a pass. -Only 2 to a table. - The media center is for learning, not socializing.
Textbook Check Out
If you have lost your textbook or need a replacement, see Mrs. Harris in the media center. Remember YOU are responsible for your textbook. DO NOT loan it to others.
FollettShelf
FollettShelf is ARC's ebooks host. Right now we have 89 books available. Use your echalk username and password Richmond. Note: Only one student can read a book at a time. For more information on using Follettshelf click here.
Student IDs
Student IDs will be provided this year. Images will be imported using the school pictures. IDs will only be printed for all grades. Only those students who took a picture for yearbook will receive their id in November. Those who did not take a picture will be scheduled at a later date. Please listen for announcement.

Technology
eChalk
eChalk is available to all students. eChalk provides you with space to save documents, a free email account, access to your classes, surveys to vote, group pages for clubs, and a homework dropbox. Note: not all teachers require you to use eChalk. Once you graduate your echalk account will be deleted.
Lab Reminders
- NO FOOD OR DRINK in the labs.
- Impero software is installed on ALL computers. Students caught using computers inappropriately will face consequences.
- -NO SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS should take any class to the lab.
Website Warehouse
Dropbox is FREEWARE that provides the user with server space to save documents, pictures, presentations , etc... Dropbox is available on any computer with Internet access.
Edmodo is a FREEWARE tool that mimics Facebook. Edmodo allows the user to save information in their account. However to use this software a teacher must have created a class and provide a code to allow you access.
