Early Childhood Enrollment-Universal Preschool

Universal Preschool Program for Four Year Old Students

In the fall of 2020, Colorado voters approved a nicotine tax measure (Proposition EE) that will fund at least 10 hours a week of free universal preschool for 4-year-olds statewide starting in the fall of 2023. The child must be 4 years old on or before October 1, 2023. This state-funded program will be available to off-set potential preschool costs. Please see this website for more information regarding this program: Colorado Universal Preschool Program Details

TSD Nutrition Services Supply Chain and Labor Issues continue in 2022-23

As we now enter the 2022-23 school year, we continue to face unprecedented challenges with both the supply chain and labor force that are having a significant impact on our meal programs. Both issues have caused ongoing menu changes with little to no notice. Substitutions occur daily and may vary by location. Because of this, TSD Nutrition Services can no longer post specific nutrients for each substituted menu item on the online menu page. Families with serious allergen concerns should contact the Nutrition Services department at 970-613-5117.

While it is our desire to serve the planned menu every day at every school, supply chain issues and extreme labor shortages nationwide are simply beyond our control and may not allow us to do so. In some cases, "express" (premade grab and go) meals may be served. While this may not be ideal, these meals do meet the USDA nutrition guidelines for school meal programs.

When changes to the posted school menu become necessary, we will attempt to substitute a similar item to the extent possible based on availability.

We continue to work very closely with our vendors and distributors to secure the food and non food supplies needed to support our programs however this could continue to be a factor throughout the school year.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
