GATE INVENTION CONVENTION 2021!
6th,7th,and 8th grade GATE students, if you are interested in being part of this year's Virtual Invention Convention to be held on February 12 at 4 pm, please Email Ms. Simonyan at HSimonyan@gusd.net. Invention Convention is an exciting event which will allow you to display your inventiveness as you follow a step-by-step process to invent a new product or develop a new method of doing something.
Your invention submission will be a Google Slide presentation and you will need to turn in the submission (one per invention) through the Google Classroom no later than February 5th, at 4pm. Additionally, students can choose to do an optional 30-second Flipgrid video. This will not be counted by the judges. This is an extra piece, if you choose to do so.

If you didn't sign up for a club during Club Rush, it's not too late! You can join a club any time by emailing the club advisor.
Remote Library Book Check Out Now Available!
You can now check out books from the Wilson Library online and pick them up at school!
1. Visit destiny.gusd.net to view available books
a. Select Wilson.
b. Select Catalog to look for a certain book or
c. Select Destiny Discover to browse titles
2. Complete this google form with your library book selections by 3 PM on Mondays.
3. You will receive a confirmation email on Tuesday that your books are ready for pick up.
4. Pick up books in front of the library Wednesdays between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Books are checked out for one month.
We will also have free books for you to take when you pick up your library books! Free books are always available to you in the foyer of the school.

Question of the Week: While at school, we had a daily question of the day in the morning announcements. Since we are now in remote learning, we will have a weekly Question of the Day in the Sunday night call/email. Students/families can submit an answer. A correct response will be randomly selected and the winner will be announced in the following Sunday callout/email. By submitting a response, you are agreeing to having your name announced in the schoolwide call out/email.
