Weatherford High School
March 27 - April 2, 2016
AP English Practice Exam
This Week's Mega Lunch Guest Speaker: Samuel Pietsch
Samuel Pietsch, a senior at UT Dallas
Date: Wednesday, March 30th
Topic: Drones
Location: Auditorium
Time: 10:41-11:20 AM
The talk will concern how drone strikes have evolved from when the United States first started using them as a counter-terrorism tool and will cover the arguments for and against the use of drone strikes
“Most of my adult life has been shaped by speech and debate. I was on my debate team for all four years in high school. Before I graduated I was ranked among the top fifty extemporaneous speakers in the country and was part of a public forum team that was also ranked in the top fifty nationally. Both of these activities required me to cultivate extensive knowledge on a variety of domestic and international issues such as the issues of drone strikes that I will be discussing at Weatherford High School.”
Juniors & Seniors- Save the Date! March 31st College Day

Dress Exchange
Hey ladies, do you have a lonely dress taking up space in your closet? Don't let that dress go to waste! Bring it to the Dress Exchange!
Green Team is collecting any and all dresses of dress-ups past. If you have a dress you no longer want, say, from previous proms, homecomings, or banquets, then bring it by Ms. Keo's room, K-204, so we can find it a new home! Likewise, if you're looking for a dress for prom or banquet, but you don't want to drop the money on yet another dress, come shopping in K204!
Need a Tux for Prom?
Discount cards available for Al’s Formal Wear! Come by Mrs. Thompson’s room (K106) or Mrs. Nichols’ office (front office) before school, after school, or during Mega Lunch to pick one up.
Can’t make it to a store to be measured for your tux? Don’t worry! Men’s Wearhouse from the West Freeway Fort Worth location will be at school to measure guys for their tuxes on Wednesday, March 23 during MegaLunch in K106. To be measured and place your tux order, you must put down a $20 deposit on this date. The Men’s Wearhouse representative will not have tuxes to try on, but she will have a catalog you can look through.
Men’s Wearhouse can also deliver tuxes to the school! In order to have your tux delivered, order it from the West Freeway location (not the Men’s Warehouse on Hulen) a minimum of two weeks before prom. You can place your order in the store or at school on March 23. You will be contacted by the store two weeks ahead of delivery to confirm the delivery. You must pay in full and in advance to have your tux delivered to the school. Clarify any questions regarding this service with Men’s Wearhouse. If you place your tux order at another Men’s Wearhouse location, you must have the order sent to the store at the address below and let them know that you need it delivered to Weatherford High School in order for the tux to be delivered to the school.
The Men’s Wearhouse at this location is the store providing the measuring and delivery service: 4701 West Freeway, Suite 250, Fort Worth 76107
