STUFF THE SQUAD & PTOs DONUTS AT DROPOFF
To start out this year, we're asking our children and Carpenter Families to join us in supporting giving back to those in need. On Friday, August 24th, the Park Ridge Police Department will have a police car on our north and south blacktops at 8:35 am collecting food donations that will be provided to our local food pantry. When we "Stuff the Squad," we'll be looking for canned and boxed goods, i.e. Pancake mix, syrup, brownie mix, cake mix, pasta, pasta sauce, Mac n Cheese, etc. When your child arrives at school, they can bring their item to the squad car. It will be a nice community event in the morning before school. This event is in conjunction with the week-long program Mariano's coordinates with our police department.
Additionally, meet our PTO and get additional information at Donuts at Dropoffs. Our PTO will have a table set-up on the south blacktop and will have treats and terrific conversation about their fabulous efforts to support our school. Information will be shared regarding membership, MySchoolAnywhere and our new family packet.

New Look Carpenter
3rd-5th (main hallway) -the HVAC system has been replaced. All of the carpeting in the hallway and classrooms (in the 3rd-5th wing) has been removed and replaced with tile. The music room has been re-carpeted. The office has undergone some modifications and a larger workroom was designed. The work that has been done in the office aligns with the construction anticipated to be completed next summer in the office and the remainder of the school.
LRC - our entire learning center has been remodeled. We have new carpeting, paint, furniture, lighting, circulation desk, etc. We are awaiting our new shelving at this point. It is an amazing and colorful space. Our PTO is helping to fund the furniture purchase in the learning center and this year's track-a-thon is fundraising for it.
Our Parent Night will be a great opportunity to check out our new look Carpenter!
Inspire every child to discover, learn, achieve, and care.
