The Cat's Connection

Celebrating our teachers!
The other day as a staff we did an exercise in our Monday PLC meeting. The task was simple or so we thought. The instructions were to find a partner, look them in the eye and tell them that they're appreciated! After some giggles and discomfort, we finally got through it. In the end, it made me realize that our teachers are not used to hearing this message from each other and I am also thinking that they probably don't hear it near enough in general.
This coming week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. It makes me smile when we have a special day to appreciate someone or a group of folks who really deserve recognition far more often. Along with our kids, we have plans to shower our teachers with appreciation, which is well deserved. Every day I get to see them in action, and what I recognize most is their caring way with kids. Our goal is to engage students in meaningful ways and to give them the opportunity to practice vital skills like creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. This is not always as easy as it might seem and truly takes a genuine love for what they do and a love for our kids.
We have a wonderful team at LaCreole, one that I believe is really good for our kids! If you see anyone who works with our kids, please thank them. They are doing amazing work!
Glad you're here!
