Important Information
Kevin Webb accepts new role
Kevin Webb, our opening custodian, has taken a new position within the school district. He will be taking care of pony pickups and deliveries. While we are working to fill Kevin's position, evening custodian Bill Jackson will fill in as our "opener" custodian.
Teaching the Character Connection Class (CCC):
Just a reminder... Our CCCs are designed for relationship building, community service, and service-learning. CCCs should not be used as a Study Hall time. Having said that, it should be understood that during times when teachers are evaluating goals with students, the other students in the class can be working on school assignments. Just remember the focus of the Character Connection Class is to build those relationships with our students.
For Your Information...
Finals and Movies
Some classes will be taking exams/finals on December 21 and 22, some finals taking place on December 20 and 21. We need to be mindful and maintain an academic focus during those two days.
Movies during the CCC celebrations is something we do each year. Taking academic time on Dec 21 and 22 to show a movie (that is not connected to a curriculum based assignment) should not be considered. If you want to show a movie (aligned with curriculum), simply complete the movie form and let me know why you want to show the movie.
Teaching Bell to Bell
Classroom instruction should be taking place using the "Bell to Bell" practice. Students are not to "pack up" and line up at the door at the end of class. If there is time at the end of class (2-3 minutes), the students can remain seated and read until the class period ends. If you have questions, please see an administrator.
