Bob Claymier, STEM is Elementary founder, will be presenting grade-level engineering teaching methods that incorporate into Ohio’s standards. Participants will explore hands-on activities along with strategies to create integrated engineering lessons based on the curriculum. Wouldn’t it be great if students were the ones asking questions about the content? Capture a student’s attention for an inquiry-based study. Cindy Miller will lead an exploration into lessons, activities, websites and resources to use in conjunction with Bob’s work.

Differentiated Curriculum/Readiness Training
- Become knowledgeable about the effective use of contracts and anchor activities to extend student learning
- Using Ohio’s New Learning Standards, learn how to differentiate curriculum content lessons/units so the learning needs of the gifted and other students are met
- Review commercially developed curriculum materials for the gifted
- Develop differentiated lessons for use in the classroom
October 24, 2016 Learning for Leadership Series-Session 2 Leading with Data (8:30am-11:30am)
Attend session 2 of the Learning for Leadership Series, Leading with Data. Joe Daniels, Assistant Superintendent of Maysville Local and Mike Masloski, Superintendent of Ridgewood Local Schools will share ways to use data to guide discussions and decision making with district and building leadership teams.
