Mrs. Roberts' First Grade News
December 7th - December 11th
NEW LEARNING!
I'd like to see more students using Raz-kids at home. The log-in information came home in report cards. Raz-kids is another valuable tool that I use monitor your child's reading comprehension and vocabulary and Raz-kids has incentive points that encourage your child to read! If you need another copy of your child's log-in information, please let me know!
In spelling, we are going to spend another week with wh digraph. Many students are still struggling with wh digraphs and most who were able to spell the words correctly on the test, are not writing them correctly in context in their daily writing. This week we will really hit wh hard. Next week we will work on th digraph.
Also, dictation sentences will start becoming a part of our weekly spelling test. You will receive the sentence's to work in our weekly newsletter.
Also, please be sure to sign up on sign up genius for our class party on the 18th. THANK YOU to all those who have signed up already! On party day, please have your child wear their pajamas to school. We will have fun and stay cozy in our winter pajamas!
